The simple answer to ‘Do animals have souls?’ is YES! But keep reading for more insight into this interesting topic.
How do I know Animals have Souls?
Obviously, I can’t say categorically that animals have souls, no more than I can say that humans have souls or that God is real. Most of us believe we have a soul, but we can’t prove it – yet. However, in my work as a psychic medium and animal communicator, I’ve connected with animal souls, and I’ve spoken to Snowflake’s soul about this topic. So, either I’m completely mad and imagining all of this (I know a few people that would agree with this!), or I’m not. Let’s pretend I’m not mad.
Do all Animals have Souls?
Honestly, I can’t say for sure. From personal spiritual experiences, I believe we live in a simulated reality, where a percentage of the people and the creatures are part of the simulation programming, which means they don’t have souls. They are a program. This sounds like The Matrix movies, because it is.
These soulless people and creatures live their life within the 3D matrix, following the programming without question. They usually lead very ‘normal’ lives, never questioning anything, and live unconsciously, without cultivating a connection to Spirit. I won’t go into this concept too deeply in this post, as it’s off topic, but this belief means that some animals don’t have souls because they’re part of the simulation programming, too.
For the rest of us, yes, we and the animals have souls.
Is an Animal’s Soul the same as a Human’s Soul?
Until recently, I wasn’t sure. I’d previously suspected that some animals’ souls were the same as human souls, simply because I have past life memories of being various animals or other creatures, including a giant tree – which was an amazing experience! I found out more when I spoke with Snowflake.

As an animal communicator, I connect with the animal’s soul and their animal energy, so I get their physical and spiritual perspectives. I already knew that Snowflake was a reincarnation of my childhood cat, and the question about his soul kept popping into my mind. So, one day, I asked him.
The answer I received was, “a soul is a soul, no matter what life form it takes”, which made perfect sense. The soul is a spark of the Divine that doesn’t differentiate between human, animal or otherwise. Not only do animals have a soul (except those who are a program), but they’re the same as a human soul – isn’t that amazing?!
Once this concept settled in my mind, it blew me away, changing my perception of animals for good. I’ve always valued our animal companions (domesticated and wild), treating them as my equal, but since then, it has changed how I connect with them, live with them, and talk to them.
Many humans who have animal companions treat them as though the animals are less than. They impose their will and have unhealthy expectations of the animal, or worse, they abuse them, which is why a deep calling has awakened within me to help the animals and their human companions.
I want to help people understand their animal companion’s needs, as an equal and a part of the family, to respect that the animals have opinions, too, so that humans and animals alike can have a stronger, more balanced, respectful and loving relationship. If you have children and animals in your life, think about how you treat them. Do you treat the animals with the same love and respect as you treat your child?
