Heal the Mind, Heal the Body

In this post, I talk about the concept of Heal the Mind, Heal the Body. And I’ll share personal insight and experience of dealing with health imbalances and how I’ve recovered and balanced my health without the need for pharmaceutical drugs.

In modern society, especially in the Western world, we’ve been brainwashed with the narrative that we all need to take pharmaceutical drugs when we get sick.

But before I go any further, because of the tyranny that exists in this world, where people are ostracised for having an opinion that doesn’t follow the mainstream narrative, I must make a disclaimer so my website isn’t taken down.

So here it is: The information in this post is my opinion, based on my experiences. What you believe and what action you take with your health is your choice. Go to the doctors if you feel unwell and if that’s what you want to do.

There, I said it. So let’s get on with it!

A Holistic Approach

As a child, I had a holistic approach to health. Although, I didn’t realise it was a holistic approach, or that those beliefs even had a name. It never felt right going to the doctors and taking synthetic drugs. I always believed that we came from nature, that we’re made from the earth—that’s where the word ‘earthlings’ comes from, isn’t it? So I couldn’t understand how synthetic drugs, or anything synthetic, for that matter, would be any good for me. It made no sense.

In the past, my experiences of taking pharmaceutical drugs always made me feel worse and the problem never went away. The doctor could never answer the question ‘What is the root cause of my symptoms’, which I found strange, considering that doctors were supposed to be experts on health—at least, that’s what I believed back then. After thirty plus years of not getting anywhere with the western approach to health, I got fed up and decided to explore alternatives.

heal the mind heal the body, pharmaceutical drugs

In 2009, I began my healing journey. I started with receiving holistic therapies and was amazed at the positive impact they had on my wellbeing. I attended workshops, took courses, gained qualifications and gathered experience in vibrational healing and plant remedies. The vibrational healing modalities I pursued related to balancing the body’s energy field and included flower essences, angelic reiki and crystals. The plant remedies I studied were from the world of phytotherapy, more commonly known as herbalism. The healing properties of plants ease physical symptoms and bring bodily functions and processes into balance.

While these natural healing modalities were great for treating symptoms and bringing overall improvement, it didn’t last, and eventually, when I stopped treatments, the symptoms returned. It was only a temporary fix, much like using pharmaceuticals.

Deep down, I knew that the real healing, where the symptoms stopped reoccurring and health improved permanently, would only happen if I found the root cause and healed that.

Negative thoughts create negative frequencies. So imagine the impact of years of trauma on the frequencies we create. Then imagine what those frequencies can do to the body. It isn’t difficult to understand how easily the body can get clogged up with bad vibes that then cause bad health.

Everything is a Frequency

And, as a believer that everything is energy, a frequency, and that the frequencies we create, create our health, the cause of my health imbalances was me. Our thoughts, feelings, emotions, beliefs, ideas, actions, behaviours, reactions—in other words, everything we do or have ever done—creates a frequency. Whether those frequencies are positive or negative, depends on us.

For people who are sensitive to energy frequencies, it’s possible to sense a person’s health. Someone with bad health will emanate negative or dense frequencies, whereas someone with good health won’t.

I do believe, though, that it’s possible to be infected by another person’s energy, by allowing them to negatively influence us. We take on their frequencies as if they’re our own,

which then creates similar symptoms to theirs. So on the surface, it appears as if we’ve ‘caught’ their illness.

So what can we do about it?

For starters, we can stop believing the lies we’re told about illness and disease. And we can choose to empower ourselves with common sense and the truth.

I’ve faced a lot of health imbalances throughout my life, stemming from the imbalances experienced within my mind, emotions, behaviours, etc. If you’ve followed my YouTube channel @ekoracle or you’ve read my previous post, you’ll know I’ve been recovering from long term complex trauma, or C-PTSD. That level of long term stress weakens the body and eventually creates physical imbalances.

So as already mentioned, while the holistic treatments and therapies helped with symptoms and improved my wellbeing, it wasn’t until I started healing me—my thoughts, beliefs, emotions, feelings, memories, actions, reactions, behaviours, etc.—that the symptoms stopped recurring and I experienced permanent healing within my physical body.

And now, my health is better than it’s been in years.

So how do you heal your inner self?

The body is an amazing organism and will send you messages to warn you of an imbalance. If you don’t pay attention, you’ll miss those messages—symptoms—mistaking them for a problem, and go to the doctors for a pill. Remember, illness and injury are a manifestation of you and your energy, so when you interpret the symptom for what it actually is—a message—you can understand how the imbalance occurred, then get to work on yourself and balance it.

I’ll give you a few examples:

  • a bad back: carrying the weight of the world on your back
  • a headache relates to thoughts, thinking, ideas, beliefs
  • bladder problems relate to the emotions—water relates to emotions—and how easily we release them from the body
  • the liver gets rid of toxins, so anything toxic—such as toxic emotions—affects the liver
  • the knees are about being inflexible or stubborn, similar to the elbows
  • the shoulders carry burdens, similar to the back
  • cancer is quite literally a sack of toxins that the body can’t get rid of due to a build up
  • diabetes, which relates to sugar, the sweetness of life, is a lack of joy
  • the feet we use to move us forward through life, so if we are stuck, it affects the feet or even the legs.
  • anything to do with the vision is a message about something that we don’t want to see
  • with the hearing, this relates to something we don’t want to hear
  • the throat is how we express ourselves, so if we feel as though we aren’t heard, or we can’t get our words out, etc., we get throat problems
  • our lungs allow us to breath and, therefore, live our life, so a deep fear of living can manifest as lung problems.

Do you get the idea?

The Mind-Body Connection

When you listen to the messages from the body and you pinpoint the imbalance, you can get to work changing yourself from the inside. I think most of us know that change, first, has to come from within. But inner change, lasting change, takes time. So learning patience needs to be at the top of the list!

When healing the mind-body, in my opinion, using a variety of methods that support not just the physical self, but the mental, emotional and spiritual self, too, will give you the best chance at recovery. In an ideal situation, you would incorporate treatments on all levels. For example, chiropractic care (body) with psychotherapy (mind) with trauma release (emotions) with reiki (energy body). But these therapies usually cost money, and if you don’t have the spare cash, what do you do?

reiki, energy healing, heal the mind, heal the body

I’ve gone through phases in my life where I’ve got into debt to get myself well. And I’ve gone through phases where I’ve had no treatments at all. When I got into debt, although the debt caused worry, my improved health (on every level) helped me cope better with the worry. And I knew, eventually, a time would come when I could repay the debt, which it did. But, having enough money is a mindset, isn’t it? When we believe we don’t have enough, life brings us more experiences of what we believe. Changing the ‘lack’ mindset to an ‘abundant’ mindset is a healing journey in itself!

During the times when I didn’t have any treatments, my health improved but more slowly. But at all times, I worked relentlessly on the inner healing of me, my frequencies. And I still do, because if I don’t spend that precious time on self-awareness, where I really get to know myself, figure out why I reacted the way I did in the past, and if I don’t learn from my actions, then I won’t figure out how to create a better future and, therefore, better health.

Without the knowledge and wisdom that comes from experience, we are destined to repeat the same. So a big part of the healing journey is the learning and evolution. If we don’t change, then we don’t move forward. And if we don’t move forward, we stand still. I’ve watched someone very close to me just stand still, and after years of that, they have ended up not being able to move physically. What a miserable way to end your life.

Our health is a manifestation of everything we believe, and as you can see by now, the messages we receive from our body are often quite literal with what we believe. So, what message is your body giving to you?
