10 Most Common Psychic Abilities
Hello lovelies. In this post I give a description of the ten most common psychic/sixth sense abilities. You can find out more information about these abilities in this post about the sixth sense. In this video, you can find out which psychic ability, or abilities, you have. And in this video, you can test your intuition.
1. CLAIRVOYANCE
One of the most well known of all the psychic abilities is clairvoyance. The term ‘clair’ is French for clear and ‘voyance’ is derived from the French verb ‘voir’ which means to see. So a clairvoyant sees clearly. This ability varies from person to person, but can include seeing across time and space and into other dimensions.
2. CLAIRCOGNIZANCE
The term ‘cognizance’ means knowledge or awareness. So claircognizance is clear thinking, and the ability to know things. Information not previously known can suddenly appear in the mind. Some people refer to this as a download.
3. CLAIRAUDIENCE
The term ‘audience’ relates to hearing and listening. So a clairaudient hears things that aren’t heard with physical ears. This ability is most commonly associated with hearing spirit beings speak, but clairaudience can also include hearing energy frequencies.
4. CLAIRSENTIENCE
The term ‘sentience’ relates to sensing or feeling things. So a clairsentient feels things, more specifically, energy frequencies or vibrations. And as everything is a frequency, a clairsentient has the potential to sense the energy of anything.
5. CLAIRTANGENCY (aka PSYCHOMETRY)
Clairtangency means clear touch, and is the ability to receive information from touching an object. Psychics typically use jewellery or photographs. But the objects needs to be imbued in some way with a person’s energy.
6. CLAIREMPATHY
Clairempathy means clear emotion. A person with clairempathy is also known as an ‘empath’. An empath has the ability to sense the emotions of others, sometimes to the point of being overwhelmed and not knowing if the emotions are their own.
7. TELEPATHY
The term ‘tele’ means at a distance and ‘pathy’ denotes feelings. So telepathy is to communicate ideas or thoughts over a distance. Unless you know your own mind very well, you might not realise when you are picking up other people’s thoughts because they can enter your mind as if they were your own thoughts.
8. PROPHECY / SEER
Prophecy is the ability to know the future, which can come in the form of dreams, visions, premonitions and visions, or through any of the ‘clair’ abilities.
9. REMOTE VIEWING / ASTRAL PROJECTION
This is the ability to perceive information across time and space and even other dimensions by projecting the consciousness. Astral traveling also comes under this category which is when the consciousness leaves the physical body to travel and receive information.
10. MEDIUMSHIP
The term ‘medium’ relates to the means by which something is communicated or expressed, so a medium has the ability to communicate with spirit beings, passed on loved ones or other beings that live on the other side of the veil. A medium is also called ‘a channel’.

Hello Elizabeth, I don’t have any very clear senses, I have a bit of everything, and it just happens, and some I can’t just summon up. Because of that I doubt myself, plus the test for abilities I fail in. Even though I doubt I do feel the event’s were real, because they are random, and inconsistent makes me wonder. I’m hoping you can help me make sense of this please.

Hi Karen, thanks for reaching out. I understand what you’re saying, that you can’t summon it at will, but that it is random. I heard someone say once, that having these “abilities”, they are a gift, something that we are given, not a power that can be controlled. When I receive premonitions and visions and prophetic dreams, they come on their own and I can’t summon them. But when I work with my intuition, I’m connecting with Spirit to receive the information needed. I read cards in many different ways, seeing the patterns etc, to deliver messages, but I also connect with Spirit, and with that I have no control over the information I am given. I can ask questions and hope they will be answered, but they aren’t always. So in that respect, I see myself as a channel. I hope this helps you understand your gifts better.
The previous comments, sounds to me like how everything really is. That’s the way it exists, and the way it behaves, and work in Us, in reality. And yes, I think that the more your become conscious of it, and one practice it, the more stronger, and developed it become, and useful. I would like to become more conscious, and practice more at them.
I do am very aware of synchronicities, I’m Guided constantly by signs in amazing ways. Also I’ve noticed my prayers to be answered instantly…as I’m heard as I speak, or intent something directly by “Ears from the Universe”, that calms any overthinking that I might fall into from time to time, right at the very moment that is occurring, I generally go, and find the right video to listen to about any Psychic, or Psychological Information, or Oracle, Tarot Video.. I go to my Card Decks, and they talk to me Clearly, and about other people, and situations so clearly, and in a instructive way… I had Personal Mastery with Oracle Cards w/ Colette Baron Reid, and Belong to several Groups the merge from the Psychic Academy Development from Richard Knight… So, I’m conscious, and practicing, and living according these discoveries… I calm down then…also through Instrumental Music, Animals, and Nature of course…, or I can Intuitively feel,
to wait, settle down, or decide what to do, or direct my Self towards a certain action not even thinking anything but viewing the truth internally of different kind of things at play in that moment, or feel a calm that I’m in the right place, or path to do something…and even emit the right message to somebody, or about a situation, very clearly, and assertively as a very natural thing in me… I’m a very lonely person, not that I don’t enjoy been among trustful people… What it is, is that I don’t like to trust much Humans, and has been becoming more, more pronounce in me from some years back to now…Wich is a protection…even though I never did trust everybody since very young of course, but didn’t know how to free my self from some others impositions in certain situations… I know that I channel, and that Guidance is right there beside me… But, kind of like I feel like aerie, waterier space not knowing where to go next… I’m a retired person, still working, and I wad thinking if I could improve my Self on working in these Fields, and have a less agitated, and less influencing live by the intrusive, and negative energies of the world of working overpopulated with different, and not really positive based… I work in retail environment, at the stock rooms, but there are the same energy behaviors as outside the Stock Rooms… “Thank You for your website” 🌼🌿.
